Recall Information

I know there has been a lot of media coverage about the recall over the past few days. I thought I would try to clear some things up.

First, I personally had no idea that any raids were going to be conducted anywhere. I found out when the press called me and asked if I knew what was going on. Imagine my surprise when the reporter asked if I'd heard anything interesting going on? I said no, have you? He said, actually yes, I have.

Second, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever why they searched City Hall. I also didn't know about that one until the press called me asking questions. Nothing like being the last to know. Although in this case, I'm not even the last to know, since no one has told me anything.

If they are looking at campaign finance forms and land purchases, that's all public record so they would not need a search warrart to look at those items. So I really don't know what they were looking for and they sure aren't telling anyone.

So, the short answer is I know only what I have read in the paper. I wish I had more information, but I don't. Guess we'll just have to keep watching the papers.

If you have any questions I'll answer them as best I can but at this point I don't have much to offer.

Read about this online.

I am SHOCKED that they did not warn you that this would be happening. The media knowing about this before you? Craziness!

Well in all fairness, I think when they're investigating something or someone, they don't want to compromise the investigation so they keep a lock on all information. What if they were looking for something on me? They wouldn't want to tip me off that they were going to do that. And I'm not suggestion that I'm in any way, shape or form involved, I'm just saying they don't want people tipping others off of what's going down. Kind of makes it hard to find what you're looking for if someone finds out and hides the evidence.

It's frustrating but what can you do? Sit and wait to see what the big surpise is I suppose. I'm just thankful that I found out before it hit the papers. At least I wasn't completely in the dark when I started receiving phone calls about it.

When will this poor town get a break?

All these controversies, the raids, the recall...just what this town doesn't need.

Are we in Lake Elsinore or Twin Peaks?

I am glad that they are loooking into city hall, some of our elected officials have things in their past that question their integrity and character. It is refreshing to have you as our Mayor.

Everyday something in the paper with these officials. Please vote no for recall. When the time comes to vote Buckley out - vote the guy out..we need to spend our tax dollars wisely. Keep up the good work Mayor!
